Adam Ummar (b.1996) is a self-taught visual artist based in Kuala Lumpur creating abstract artworks in various media. His artworks revolve around themes such as spirituality, mythology, philosophy, emotions and mental health. His interests include fashion, design, literature, sociology, politics and the humanities at large.
He views his creative practice as an on-going dialogue with the humanities. Investigating the relationships between colours and form in his abstract pieces, he aims to visually deconstruct and reconstruct the world.
In 2020, he was selected as one of the participants of the National Art Gallery's Young Art Entrepreneur program. He has participated in virtual and physical exhibitions with artists from across Asia.
