softdovestevens is an illustrator, graphic designer, and researcher based in Kuala Lumpur. Through intimate books and other tender printed matter, she seeks to explore Southeast Asian visual culture & history, to reimagine ways of being in the world, and to engage with her community.

Her collages feature clippings scavenged from secondhand bookstores and personal archives, while her self-publications often pull inspiration from family stories passed down.

softdovestevens wants her work to feel like a lingering question, like the bridge of a song, or a random sunny Tuesday— they are a love letter to the resilience of our past and the potentials of our present.
